RUGBY, November 29.

The Mercury, the record-breaking seaplane component of the Short Mayo composite aircraft, was launched from the back of the flyingrboat Maia oyer Southampton Water late, this afternoon on her first routine commercial flight.

After a non-stop flight of 2400 miles with over a ton of Christmas mail she is expected to reach Alexandria at 6 a.m. tomorrow. <

ALEXANDRIA, November 30. The, Mercury arrived at 6.22 a.m. after a record flight of 14hr 6min from Southampton.
