POLICE FORCE
PROMOTIONS & TRANSFERS
A number of promotions and transfers affecting members of the detective and uniform branches of the Police Force have been announced.
Sergeant A. Henderson^ of Tauranga, has been promoted to senior-sergeant as from today, and succeeds the late Senior-Sergeant Finch at Whangarei.
Detective-Sergeant T. E. Holmes, Dunedin, has been appointed senior detective as from today, and remains in charge of the detective branch at Dunedin.
Sergeant J. Edwards, Wellington South, has been transferred to charge of Tauranga station. Senior-Sergeant T. Moriarty has been transferred from Mount Cook to Wellington South. The Mount Cook vacancy has been filled by Senior-Sergeant E. Quayle, of Greymouth, and Detective-Sergeant J, Bickerdike, Christchurch, has been promoted to senior-sergeant in the uniform branch, and transferred to Greymouth to succeed Senior-Sergeant Quayle.
Sergeant G. J. Paine, in charge of the training school at Wellington, has been promoted to senior-sergeant.
