RONGOTAI BOYS' COLLEGE CHOIRS.

A special feature of the concert to be given in the Town Hall tonight by the choral and verse-speaking choirs of Rongotai College • ill be the descant numbers specially composed by Mr. C. W. Kerry. The select choir of 40 of the younger boys will sing in descant, while the treble and bass parts are sung by 80 of the senior boys. Not the least interesting feature will be the fact that Mr. Kerry will play the accompaniments to various numbers on the grand organ and grand piano. Comment has already been made on the marvellous memories of the 200 boys selected for verse-speaking items, in that they naturally do not refer to any "copy" while reciting their numbers. The majority of these boys sing also the choral items. It is fitting that the Minister of Education has again arranged to be present to address the gathering, as the concert is indeed a very eloquent ■ commentary on the fact that the tuition given the boys is not merely "the three R's," but does include something of cultural training as well. The box plan is at Begg's. Patrons are requested to be seated by 7.55 p.m.
