MAORI BAZAAR
Much-interest is-being taken in the bazaar and entertainment which will be held by members of the local Ngati-Pdneke Mission Society in the Sydney Street Schoolroom on Wednesday next at 3 p.m. Her Excellency Viscountess Galway will perform the opening ceremony. Many stalls have been arranged for the sale of produce, flowers, fancy goods, cakes, and sweets. In addition, the Maori Arts and Cook Island stall will be found particularly interesting, as it will contain exhibits of true Maori art.
Special entertainment in the form of poi and new action songs will be given by the Ngati Poheke Young Maori Club, and will be presented both in the afternoon and evening. Good entertainment is promised all those who attend, and a very large gathering is expected. A special afternoon tea will be available.
To remove grease spots in woollen or flannel materials, cover the marksthickly with French chalk, .and apply * hot iron quickly. The melted grease will be. absorbed by the chalk.
