LATE MR. J. FINDLAY

LARGE ATTENDANCE

Government, shipping, banking, insurance, and mercantile interests generally were represented in the large attendance of people who paid their last respects today to Mr. James Findlay at his funeral service in the cathedral church of St. Paul. For 25 years Mr. Findlay was the New Zealand representative of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co., and during his long service with that company he made a host of friends and was an outstanding personality in shipping circles. The service was conducted by the Rev C. H. Isaacson and Canon D. J. Davies, after which the cortege,left for the Crematorium, Karon Cemee?he chief mourners were Miss Findlay, sister of the deceased, and his naphew, Mr. Michael Connell. As a mark of respect to Mr. Findlay the offices of the Shaw, Sayill and Albion Co., Ltd., in Wellington were closed to the public today.
