MBS. C. J. PHILOPf,

The death has occurred of Mrs. Cissie Phillips, wife of Mr. C. J. Phillips, of Mount ' Eden, Auckland, states an exchange. Unde.r the professional name of Cissie • Sandford, she at one time played leading roles in the old Pollard Opera Company. Born in Coromandel, Mrs. Phillips later lived for some time in Wellington. She was a principal for seven years with the Pollard Opera Company, and after her marriage she v/ent to live in Auckland.
