DOUBTS IN PRAGUE
SOVIET-CZECH PACT A DEAD LETTER?
LONDON, October 23
Doubt is cast in Prague on the truth of the report that the Soviet-Czech pact has been rendered a dead letter. A cable published on Saturday stated that the Czech Foreign Minister, M. Chvalkovsky, had informed the Soviet Minister that Czechoslovakia was no longer interested in the mutual assistance pact with the, Soviet. It was added that it was expected that renunciation of the French pact would follow, thus fulfilling what the Prague correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" described as the most important German demand for Czech readjustment.
