SASKATCHEWAN FARMERS
(Received October 22, 2.30 p.m.)
SASKATOON, October 21
The Saskatchewan ~ branch of the United Farmers of Canada adopted a resolution appointing a committee to seriously consider the secession of the Prairie Provinces in favour of "A Western autonomous State within the Empire, democratically governed." The convention made allegations of tariff discriminations against the farmers and assailed the failure of the Government to peg the price of wheat at a dollar instead of 80 cents.
