WEDDINGS

MUIR—WRIGHTON.

The marriage was solemnised recently at the Wesley Church of Irene, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Wrighton, Brooklyn, to Donald James Henry, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. James Muir, Newtown. The ceremony was performed by the Key. Percy Paris. During the signing of the register the solo, "Thanks Be To God," was sung by Mr. A. T. Pickett, uncle of. the bride.

The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of parchment satin cut on straight lines falling in a long train, the neckline and wrists of the long, tight-fitting sleeves being trimmed with pleated lace, and the front of the frock finished with satin-covered buttons. The tulle embroidered veil fell from a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried' a sheaf of hyacinths, sweet peas, and winter roses.

Mrs. S. Dawson attended as matron of honour, and Miss Winnie Muir, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. They wore charming frocks of mauve satin taffeta cut on simple lines, with ruched sleeves and having posies of shaded anemones at the neck. They also wore top-knots of anemones and carried bouquets of violet hyacinths and anemones.

The best man was \ Mr. Victor Fordham and the groomsman Mr. Leslie Sewell.

A reception was held at the Mokoia Hall, where .the guests were received by Mrs. Wrighton and Mrs. Muir. The former wore a smart frock of clover crepe trimmed with gold lame, and a navy hat and coat. She carried a posy in clover shades. The bridegroom's mother wore a model frock of black georgette and a large black hat trimmed with pink. A posy of pmk flowers was carried. Mr. and Mrs. D. Muir left for the north, the latter wearing a skunk necklet over her smart navy pin-striped costume, which had hat and accessories to match. * Among the many guests were Mr. and Mrs. W. R.
