DRAMA IN PROSPECT
Listeners will find something of topical interest in part five of "Victoriana," which is to be broadcast from 2YA on Sunday night at 9.5 o'clock, for this episode deals with the Great Exhibition of All Nations held in London in 1851. Listeners will be taken on a tour of the exhibition, which was housed in the Crystal Palace in Hyde Park. This dramatic mosaic, which is constructed and produced by the National Broadcasting Service, is no small undertaking, and the strength and quality of the production which have marked the earlier episodes are continued. "Mystery Island" is the 'intriguing title of a new N.B.S. serial shortly to be broadcast in the1 children's hours. This should prove very popular with juvenile listeners (and adults, too, will find it entertaining) for there, is a real New Zealand atmosphere about the story, which deals with a New Zealand family and the adventures of four children. . Another serial that the N.B.S. has recently purchased for the children's sessions which should provide young and old listeners alike with plenty of entertainment is a dramatised version of "Robin Hood," written for the N.B.S. by lan Mac Lean, a young Wellington journalist who has had previous success as a radio writer.
