A FURTHER DENIAL
AMERICANS PUZZLED
(Received October 13, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, October 12. Mr. Strachey still denies that he is a Communist.
The "New York Times" said editorially that the whole affair is puzzling thousands of Americans. "We exclude a parlour radical like Mr. Strachey while we keep the "working* radical who really means business, like the Australian-born Harry • Bridges " it said, and added: "The action against Mr. Strachey ought to await the Supreme Court decision regarding Communism, the samei as Bridges."
