EDWARDIAN ACCESSORIES
Two essentially Edwardian accessories'vare brought into fashion. this autumn by the, demands of the latest hairdressing styles and the new hats, states a London writer. They are the ornamented .hatpin and the back hair slide to hold" upswept curls in position. Modern versions of these old fashions have a new air. Hatpins seen recently are worked in glass, gilt, and mother-of-pearl. A mother-of-pearl mount is made in the shape of a flat circle, with a cluster Of coral at the base-^-just the thing to wear with the new elaborate yelvet hats. Back hair slides are a far cry from tlie days of the tortoiseshell butterfly tyithi t which Edwardian beauties used to secure their back hair.. Thin slides, which work on the grip principle, are studded with diamante, arid are curved to fit the shape of the head.
