WHITE GOLD GOES WELL
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
PALMERSTON N., This Day. The going was particularly good for training operations at Awapuni yesterday, and several interesting trials took place. The flags were out 20 feet.
Laughing Lass and Oratory made light of their task over five furlongs in lmin s£sec, and they were going easily at the finish.
Ecstatic scampered over half a mile in 53& sec, and Royal Choice (J. Pratt) pleased throughout a seven-furlong gallop in 35£ sec. The Buzzer was ' half a length in front of The Bigot after traversing six furlongs in lmin 22 2-ssec, the first three taking 40sec.» Dainty Sue finished in front of Porotiti at the end of half a mile run in 54sec. Beaupartir beat Old Surrey over seven furlongs run in lmin 35 3-ssec, the first half mile in 52 2-ssec. Beaupartir is very well.
