AUCKLAND, October 2
In one of the best exhibitions of Rugby League seen at Carlaw Park for a long time, Richmond beat Eastern Suburbs, runners-up in the Sydney championship, on Saturday, by 11 points to 9. Although there was little between the teams, Richmond thoroughly deserved its success. Each side scored three tries, Richmond converting one.
