REFUSAL TO PAY TAXI FARE

Pleading guilty to a second statutory offence of drunkenness, and to obtaining credit by fraud by incurring a debt of 3s 6d taxi fare and refusing to pay it/John Joseph Corby, a seaman, aged 38, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today. He was fined 10s, in default 48 hours' imprisonment, on the first charge, and 10s and costs, in default seven days' imprisonment, on the second.
