TEA MARKETS
The Colombo tea market this week was fully firm for common sorts, according to private advices received in Wellington. Better teas were also in demand in spite of a falling-off in quality. The Calcutta market was fully firm for all grades. The quality of the offering, however, at the present time is not as good as usual for the time of the year. The London market was active and a little dearer. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, September 28. Mr. L. M. Wright has received the following cable report on the Colombo tea auction of September 27:— At yesterday's auction, good quality teas were in brisk demand and showed an increase of id to §d. Medium grades were barely steady at last week's rates, but common teas remained firm. A total of 2.250,0001b will be offered to buyers at next week's sale. DIVIDENDS DUE. Cox Bros.
