MR. APPLETON AT ROSENEATH
Mr. W. 'Appleton, the National Party candidate for the Wellington Central seat, spoke to a full audience in the Roseneath School last evening. The audience considerably exceeded the expected number and infant school chairs were brought in for the overflow. Mr. H. Batten, who presided, introduced the candidate as a proved civic and public worker and as a family man of sympathy and experience.
A vote of thanks and confidence, moved by Mr. J. Zucker, was carried with acclamation.
