OUTDOOR CLUB
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED
A very enjoyable function took place in the Tararua Tramping Club room recently, the occasion being the first anniversary of the Outdoor, Club The club-room had been attractively decorated by Mr. Earl Gittings in blue and gold, the club colours. About sixty members and friends were present. Tap-dancing by Misses Doreen Free, Pat Bush, Betty Sparks, Mabel Scott, Valeric Smith, and Ethel Sumner (pupils of Miss Win Chown) was much applauded. Mr. Nelson Hill supplied the music for the dancing. A novelty, which was much enjoyed, was the moving picture entertainment by courtesy of Mr. Stanley Smith. Mr. P. Donoghue worked hard as master of ceremonies, and Mr. Stuart Anderson was a very willing accompanist. A delicious supper was served by the members of the ladies' social committee, Misses A. Hutson, E. Carter, B. Oliver, R. Tidey, and I. Dorrian.
"Health from a Mental Angle" will be the subject of Rona Olsen's lecture tomorrow night at Dominion Farmers' Institute.
