THE PRESS RELAXES

BALL AT MAYFAIR CABARET

In the stress of great political activity both in the Dominion and overseas even the Press must relax for- a while. On Saturday night some of its members at least forgot for a brief while pencils and copy paper, type and printers' ink, crises and wars, and indulged in a little frivolity at the Mayfair Cabaret, where the annual Dominion Press Club's ball was held. Spring flowers added gaiety to the ballroom, and the orchestra supplied excellent music. A buffet supper was set, out in an adjoining room, where Iceland poppies in shades of red and gold were displayed in silver epergnes down the long tables. The committee responsible for the dance comprised Messrs. I. McGrath, D. E. Fenwick, G. L. Wells, C. L. King, and H. F. Warner. , Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. C. T. C.
