WOMAN AND CHILD HURT
THE DRIVER ARRESTED

AUCKLAND, September 11. , Mrs. Edna Alice O'Connor, aged 27, and her. infant daughter were injured when struck by a motor-car which suddenly mounted the footpath in Karangahape Road on Saturday afternoon. Suffering from concussion and back injuries, Mrs. O'Connor, who resides at Newton, was removed to the Auckland Hospital. Her condition is not i serious. The child was also taken to j hospital, but was sent home after treatment. j After mounting the kerb the car continued for some distance before coming to rest a few feet from a shop window. The driver was subsequently I arrested. *
