HIBERNIAN CLUB

The annual meeting of the Hibernian Cricket Club, Petone, was held tnis week. Mr. J. Laracy presided over a good attendance. , The annual report recorded good progress during the year, and a very enjoyable season. The membership was 32 and in the two teams which competed in the Hutt Valley Associations competitions, some good performances were registered. Each team reached second place in the special average competition. . ' . Trophies were presented during tne year to the following members:— Messrs. P. August (outstanding service), J. Young (bowling), J. Laracy (bowling), J. Coman (batting), B. Gibbs (batting). - ■ The financial statements for the year showed that the club's position is. quite good. , ■ . • .."
