The Mayor -"acknowledges with thanks the following donations to the National Relief Fund for Spanish Refugee Children: — Previously acknowledged, £1066 19s 8d; Karori Presbyterian Sunday School, £1 12s'6d; staff, Godfrey Phillips, Ltd., 13s; Mr. T. H. Stephenson, 10s; T.H.M., 10s; Anonymous, per 2ZB, 2s 8d; Fay and Hugh, 2s 6d; £1070 10s 4d. Other towns: Previously acknowledged, £517 18s 9d; Town Clerk, Borough of Waimate, £7; Waitaki County Council, £2 8s; £527 6s 9d. Donations received to date total £1597 17s Id.
At a meeting of business people of Otaki held last night it was decided to co-operate with the Borough Council and make the camp at Rangiuru up to date, says "The Post's" correspondent. It is hoped to install septic tanks and m«ke other improvements for the benefit of campers. The camp in previous years has been a popular one and should be even more so this season.
