of the guests joined a skating party, which concluded at midnight. It was a strenuous evening even for those with a surplus of energy, but it provided plenty of entertainment.
Quite a considerable sum was netted as a consequence, and the funds will be devoted to arrangements for the forthcoming "Hollywood Hotel" ball being organised by the"'Wellington Younger Set Committee in aid of the Red Cross. The committee is a large one, and is controlled by a small executive. Nearly all its members were present at the function yesterday.
A 'popular item during the dance was the electric guitar number, and the extras which were played by Mr. Rodney Pankhurst.
