OLD CONTEMPTIBLES
CHURCH PARADE TOMORROW
The Wellington branch of the Old Contemptibles Association, in conjunction with the Old Navals and South African War veterans, will hold a church parade and memorial "service tomorrow afterndon when- the Governor-General (Lord Galway), will lay. a wreath at the Carillon Tower. A parade of veterans will march through the city before attending church service at .St. Mark's.
The parade, which- will be headed by the band of the Wellington Regiment, will, fall in at 1.30 p.m. and march off via Bunny Street arid Lambton Quay at 1.50 p.m., when the War Memorial will be saluted. The parade will then march to the Carillon, where his Excellency will lay a wreath at 2.30 p.m. before inspecting the parade at St. Mark's at 2.50 p.m. Lord Galway will read the lesson at the service, and the officiating clergy will be the Rev. F. N. Robertshawe (St. Mark's), the Rev Arthur Muriel (Congregational), and the Rev. P. J. Wainwright (Presbyterian). The soloist will be Mr. George Wilson, A.L.C.M., who will sing "Grant Us Thy Peace."
