- (Received September 3, 2 p!m.) PARIS, September 2. A new strike wave threatens the northern industrial areas in France.
In additiori tb textile workers and dockers 1100 Lille tramway operatives have struck for higher, wages.
The Paris correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that, jute workers at Lille are protesting against a 15 per cent., wage, reduction.
The coal owners and the miners have reached an agreement which has removed the strike fear. The miners .are to work-an extra eleven-days for six months from September 1 in ■ return for a 6 per cent, increase in wages: It is "estimated-that there will be an increased output of 2,000,000 tons and a' saving of £3,000,000 which "was - formerly sent abroad. It will affect British exporters considerably!. -
