LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MEETING AT PETONE
The Petone nranch of the League of Mothers held its sixth annual meeting recently, in the Oddfellows' Hall, with a good attendance. Mrs. Millward presided, and extended a warm welcome to visitors from the Lower iHutt branch. i The annual report was favourably ! commented on by Mrs. Sargisson, who congratulated the branch on the good progress made during the past year. The balance-sheet showed a satisfactory state of finance. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. G. R. Millward; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Brocklebank, Sargisson, Fisher; secretary, Mrs. F. J. May; treasurer, Mrs. C. Johnson; committee, Mesdames Bell, Collett, Curtis, Colquhoun, Greenfield, F. Greenfield, Henry, Morgan, A. Miller, Marshall, Jones, Jackson, Patten, Prentice, Pratley, Porter, Rowe, Wilson, and Williams. After tea had been served the rest of the afternoon was taken up with musical items and competitions. A very happy meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
