VICTORIA LEAGUE PARTY
(From "The Post's" Representative.) WANGANUI, August 26. Mrs. A. H. Boyes, president of the Wanganui branch of the Victoria League, held a delightful morning tea at the Virginia Lake Kiosk on Thursday in honour of Mrs. L. Brinkman, who will leave shortly to reside in Wellington. Committee members, of whom Mrs. Brinkman had been one for several, years, were present and the opportunity was taken to present the guest of honour with two books, which contained the autographs of the donors. Social and Dance. There was a large gathering, of shareholders and suppliers of the Wangaehu Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., on .Thursday evening,' when the directors gave a social and dance in honour of the silver jubilee of the com-,; pany. Four of the ■ original shareholders were, present. Mr.-F. Johnston (chairman) , and Mrs... Johnston welcomed the guests. Among -the many guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. Ha.worth, Mr. and Mrs. W. J.
