INVERCARGILL, August 22. The following Southland team has been chosen to play Hawke's Bay in Invercadfill on Saturday:—Backs: J. Ballantyne; R. G. Mahony, A. W. Wesney, C. Milne; P. Grace, A. G. Sutherland; J. Purdue. Forwards: C. Soper, W. Sherriffs, C. George, L. George, B; Herron, G. H. Graham, T. Metcalfe, W. L. Crawford.
There will be no broadcasting of the match, the Southland Rugby Union having reached this decision in committee.
