EVENING PARTY

INTEREST IN POLITICS

A very pleasant evening was spent in "the home of Mrs. J. Roberts, Khandallah, recently, when, in order to assist the local branch of the Labour Party, a large number of ladies were present to liear an address by Mrs. J. A. Lee. Mention was made of the growing interest being taken by all sections of the community in politics and State Government, and- gratification -was expressed at the number of ladies present who desired to take an interest :in affairs of state.

Mrs. Lee dealt with the benefits, policy, and practice of the Labour Party. "A hearty vote of thanks for the manner in which she had given her address was carried with enthusiasm. A dainty supper added to the pleasure of the evening.
