MEAT PRICES IN LONDON
On the London frozen lamb market prices for second quality and prime heavyweights are easier, but others are steady. Consumption continues to be satisfactory. Wethers are easier, owing to heavier supplies and slow trade. Lightweight ewes are steady with others easier, according to the weekly cable received by the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board.
Chilled beef is selling at better prices owing to lighter supplies. Trade in New . Zealand porkers is slow with heavyweights weaker. For baconers the market is steady and unchanged. The board advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday.
