BOMBING OF TOWNS
POWERS' REPLIES AWAITED

(Received July 7, 11.25 a.m.) RUGBY, July 6. ! i Britain is. making every effort to] arrange for an international commission to be formed which would proceed at the request of a competent Spanish authority to any town that suffered' aerial bombardment in Spain. In making this announcement in the i House of Commons, the Foreign Under- | Secretary, Mr. R. A. Butler, said that the action to be taken depended on the replies received from certain foreign Governments, which he hoped would soon arrive. The result of yesterday's meeting of the 'Non-Intervention Committee was formally recorded in Parliament when the Prime Minister stated that he hoped the text would be available to members of Parliament next Monday.
