Another "ace" company of oversea* stars -is being brought to New Zealand this mdnth by Mr. Frank Neil, the enterprising theatrical entrepreneur. Mr. Neil has brought many famous stars to Australia, and New Zeialand, but surely none so unique or_ei» tertaining as Billy Costello. Mr C6stello may be better.known as 'Popeye," v the deep-voiced, adored figure of the screen cartoons, who will in person enact, many of the playlets in which, "Popeye" and his elongated sweetheart have convulsed millions of film, and radio fans in all parts of. the world. This remarkable artist has been a .sensation in Australia, - and children .and adults alike, have stood in queues for hours in their enthusiasm to see and hear their favourite "Popeye the Sailorman" of the bulging muscles and spinach-tin. In support Qf Mr. Costello, who commences his Dominion ,tour at Auckland 'on July 25, is a very talented galaxy of overseas vaudeville andVevue stars, including British, American, and Australian headliners, who will present programmes of diverting interest..
