YOUTH KILLED

TRAGIC SHOOTING TRIP

CARTERTON, This Day.

A shooting fatality occurred yesterday at Parkvale when Wembly William Goodin, j^ed 13, son of Mr. Herbert Goodin,* * ark Road, Carterton, was shot through the heart with a pea. rifle bullet.

Goodin was a member of a shooting party, which included Wellington boys and girls. The party divided, going up two different ridges. A Wellington boy fired a rifle as a signal to return for lunch. Goodin, who was 300 yards away, received the bullet in the heart and was killed instantly.

An inquest this morning was adjourned after evidence of identification.
