Tile fortieth annual meeting of the Victoria University College Students' Association was held last night, Mr. W. Edgley presiding. Matters relat : ing to student activities were discu.iscd at length. It was stated that 6000 copies of the capping book had been sold, and that it appeared that 8000 could have been disposed of had they been available. A record profit had been made from j the extravaganza, v/hich had been staged on four nights instead of the usual three. Following a discussion on the desirability of having the annual students' procession reinstated, a motion was carried that application be made to the Professorial Board to have the ban which has been in force for the past two years lifted, provided that, after a meeting of students interested, the executive is satisfied that sufficient support will be forth-
coming to hold an adequate procession. The election of office-bearers for the ensuinE year was announced as fol-lows:-President, Mr. R. W. Edgley; men's vice-president, Mr. R. S. C. Agar; women's vice-president, Miss G. M. Kean; honorary secretary, Mr. R. W. Heine; honorary treasurer, Mr. J. Bullock; men's committee, Messrs. R. J. Corkill and A. T. Fussell; women's committee. Misses J. Bacon, H. Maysmor, and J. E. M. Osborn.
