YOUNG FARMERS ON TOUR
The party of 90 young farmers from Poverty Bay, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, and Wairarapa commenced an educational week in Wellington on Monday. They assembled in the conference hall, Dominion Farmers' Institute, and were addressed by Messrs. S. Freeman, R. B. Tennent, A. P. O'Shea, and H. I. Forde. Yesterday they visited various factories and the Wallaceville Veterinary Laboratory* „ , . . The party is visiting factories at Petone today, and in the evening will be entertained at dinner by the New Zealand Farmers' Union. Tomorrow's programme will include a visit to Parliament Buildings, where they will be welcomed by the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon, W. Lee Martin). In the afternoon the party will visit the Dominion Museum and Art Gallery. The Hon. F. Waite, M.L.C., wUI address the party on "World Affairs" on Friday morning, after which members! will visit the Massey Memorial. The afternoon will be spent visiting points of interest on the waterfront, and the party will disperse on Saturday morning.
