ROYAL ACADEMY PICTURE

A picture of "Coronation Day, 1937," by Charles Cundall, R.A., which was bought at the Royal Academy by Queen Mary, and left on view at Burlington House, was presented to the King as a birthday gift from Queen Mary and the Royal Family. It was returned to the Royal Academy for the duration of the Exhibition." Mr Cundall, it is stated, has done well out of the Academy Exhibition. Besides "Coronation Day," priced at 350 guineas, he has sold three other ■pictures, which, at the moment, is this year's individual record. Mr. Cundall is going to Paris to hang the New English Art Club Exhibition, which opens gimultaneously with the coming visit Of the King and Queen.
