VERY SERIOUS IF TRUE
INTERESTED POWERS SIX AFFECTED (Received June 25, 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 24. The Australian Associated Press says that the British Government awaits confirmation of Japan's reported abolition of extraterritorial rights in China. If it is true it will be regarded as most serious, as it will result in the immediate consultation of interested, Powers, with a simultaneous intimation to Tokio that Britain reserves the right to take what steps are necessary.
Other Powers affected would be Prance, Italy, Belgium, the United States, and Holland.
