PRICES AT SYDNEY SALE

The sheep sales began at the Show Ground yesterday, when chiefly British breeds were offered. Forty-five Southdown ewes on account of E. M. Hare, of Feilding, New Zealand, ranged from 61 guineas to 7J guineas. Two Southdown rams on behalf' of Mrs. Frances Brown. Waimate, averaged £9 Is. Three Ryeland rams on behalf of J. Hayhurst, Temuka, averaged £14 14s; one Border Leicester ram on behalf of J. Bisdee, South Canterbury, sold at £5 ss; three Border Leicester rams on behalf of J. Kelland, Temuka, averaged £6 6s; sixteen Border Leicester rams on account of Donald Grant, Timaru, totalled £223 2s 6d. and averaged £13 19s.
