ANTI-JEWISH VIOLENCE
ORDER IN GERMANY
IMMEDIATE CESSATION (Received June 22, 10 a.m.) BERLIN, June 21. The highest Nazi quarters have ordered anti-Jewish violence to cease immediately, but the Government control of Jewish businesses is to continue.
HIGH TREASON LAWS
EXTENDED TO AUSTRIA (Received June 22, 12.30 p.m.) BERLIN, June 21. A decree has been published which extends Germany's high-treason laws to Austria. A number of Austrians will be invited to serve on the People's Court, which is empowered to punish by beheading espionage or any form of action against the Nazi regime.
PRIESTS IN PRISON
(Received June 22, 12.20 p.m.) VIENNA, June 21. Sixty Catholic priests have (been arrested on charges of immorality. Some were imprisoned for seven months or less.
