KARORI I V. UNIVERSITY
Karori (1) had little difficulty in defeating University at Naenae, and I goals, particularly towards the end.,of I the game, were quickly rattled on. Although 1 the players found it hard to gain a footing at times, owing to the sticky r ground, Karori's combination and stickwork had the better of University, who, however, offered a stout resistance. The scoring was opened early by E. Roberts and K. McDraald, netting later in the spell, giving Karori a half-time lead of 2 to nil. Roberts scored his second goal about half-way through the second spell, and C. Edwards added the fourth fhortly afterwards. A nice movement after a corner .when the ball was handled by several backs ended in M. Browne netting Karori's fifth goal. University then came away with a good rush and concluded an effective movement with a neat goal, G. Shaw scoring. Karon then rapidly scored two more _ goals, netted by Edwards, and the final score was: Karori (1) 7, University 1. . The umpires were Messrs. K. W. Keys and R. H. Rolle.
