USE OF POISON GAS
JAPAN WARNED CHILE AND THE LEAGUE (Received May 14, 10.30 a.m.) GENEVA, May 13. , After a secret session of three hours the League Council agreed "to warn Japan against the use of poison gas in China and also authorised the President of the Council, M. Munters, to seek a means of preserving Chile's membership of the League, following the threat made to leave the. League unless it is drastically reforffaed.
