DISCIPLE OF ROBERT BURNS
Mr. W. B. Mcllveney will be the speaker at the monthly meeting of the St. Andrew Burns Club in the Rechabite Hall on Monday! evening. His subject "The Spul of Abraham Lincoln —A Disciple of Eobert Burns," will demonstrate that the greatest of American Presidents received inspiration for his great fight' for the liberation of slaves in America from the writings and life of Scotland's national ( bard. Mr. Mcllveney 1 knows his subject and is a polished speaker. There will.be the usual all-Scottish programme of musical arid elocutionary items, with supper to follow. All interested in the works of Robert Burns and who have an interest in Scotland's literature and music are invited to be present.
