Arrangements were finalised for the cabaret party towards the end of the month at the Mayfair Cabaret. A limited number of bridge tables will also be available, and these should be booked .through Mrs. Dowsett without delay., . ; -~'. }.

' The Free Kindergartens will close oh Friday, Xpril-29— a week earlier than usual—to,,.enable the.'.-Staff, to attend a refresher course in Duhedin, where a week's extensive study and observation of kindergarten work have been arranged. The financial year closed on March 31. It will'be of very great assistance if subscribers'could forward their 1938-39 subscriptions and donations direct to the office as soon as possible. Only those who. are organising the work fully realise how helpful it is if subscriptions are forwarded as soon as they become due, and the co-opera-tion of kindergarten friends in this matter is greatly appreciated.
