When working on the steamer Waimea at the King's Wharf at 6.40 p.m. yesterday. Mr. H. P. Mann, waterside ■worker, of 37 Wright Street, was struck «n the head by a crane hook. He received abrasions to the right ear and slight concussion, and was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
Cuts on the face from flying glass were .received by Mr. W.H. Horton, of Taihape, . passenger in a motor-car which at 9.20 p.m. yesterday struck a safety-zone pillar in front of the Wellington railway station. He was attended -by the- Free Ambulance. •' • •
