The eleventh annual general meeting' of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons was opened at the University. Sir Louis Barnett, in his presidential address/referred to the rapid progress of the college, which, he said, sought to encourage progress and provide ever-inspiring surgical service for the people. Professor Osborne (Melbourne), who delivered the Syme oration, suggested that Australian surgeons should study the progress of surgery in Germany.
