NO HOME SCIENCE STUDENTS
The lack of women students taking home science aroused some comment at the meeting of the Auckland University College Council on Monday, when the comparison of enrolments for 1937 and 1938 was considered (states the "New Zealand Herald"). Six students enrolled for the course last year; Sii-iHenry Horton remarked that no Auckland"students were-tStkirig-up'':'th!S study>of 'honje' ? science;*- this year. The lick of iriter<!st.!was to be deplored, the president,.Mr, H. J. D. Mahon, said (the Auckland University College had no home science course proper. Students took.the preliminary science course before going to Dunedin for home science.
