Big Dook is at Awapuni, and he will probably make his next appearance in the Tamatete Handicap on the final day of the Manawatu Meeting on Saturday.
Play On's racing in open class since his trip to the north has puzzled some. The race he won at Takapuna, the Hauraki Plate, though his first and only success to date, removed him irom hack ranks.-
According to an Auckland report it is the intention of Mr. A. J. McGovern to enter an appeal with the Auckland district committee against the decision of the judicial committee of the Ohinemuri Jockey Club in disqualifying Rulette'when her rider returned to scale 2£lb overweight in the St. Patrick's Handicap at Paeroa last Thursday.
