The Wellington Bowling Centre's junior champion of champions singles competition commenced this morning on the Newtown green. Following are the results of the first two rounds:— First Round—W. Jefferson (Central) 11. -S. McLean (Lyall Bay) 24- L. Cooper (Khandallah) 18. W. E. Lonsdale (Wellington) 28; W. K. Holdsworth (Hutt) 13. W. L. Rothenberg (Kelburn) 19; A. C. E. Loadsman (Island Bay) 10. O. Philp (Seatoun) 25; B. R. Connolly (Victoria) 7. Second Round.—Walden 19; Heraud 17. Morton 17; McFarlane 16. Lonsdale 16; McLean 14. Philp 17; Rothenberg 14.
The final is being contested by Lonsdale (Wellington) and Walden (Seatou'n). The semi-final results were: Lonsdale (Wellington) 26, Philp (Seatoun) 8; Walden (Newtown) 21, Morton (Karori) 14.
