STAFF PICNIC
Members and friends of the staff of Schneideman and Sons, Ltd., held their annual picnic at Maidstone Park last Saturday. -The weather was ideal and a most enjoyable time, was spent; The cricket match ladies v.' gentlemen. resulted in arieasy victory; for the ladies, but the men had to bat left-handed. The relay race, cutting-room v. pressers, was won by the cutting-room. Children's races were held before lunch! and each participantl- received a prize. The results of the senior races were:—Staff: Single girls, I. Grimes 1, J. Towersey 2, P. Needham 3; single men, G. Schneideman 1, J. Harrison 2, L. Cayless 3: married men, H. Cook 1, D. Harris 2. R. Murray 3. Open: Single girls, S. Franz 1, M. Franz 2, I. Grimes 3; single men, L. Cayless 1, G. Schneideman 2. Visitors: Married ladies, Mrs. White 1. Mrs. Bell 2; men, Mr. Carruthers> 1, .Mr. Franz 2; Threelegged race; Mr. L. Cayless and Miss S. Franz: thread the needlo, Mr. G. Schneideman and . Miss N. Miscall; thread the needle, married couples. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cook; wheelbarrow race, Mr. J. Harrison and Miss Lpwry; cigarette:.race,..Mr. Bell' and Miss E. Gear. '
