HOMEWOOD GARDENS OPEN
The Free Ambulance funds are most important to the city, and the cause of the ambulance is a most popular one, therefore the announcement that- the charming gardens at^Homewooci, Karori, are to be open again on ■ Saturday and: Sunday from 9 a.m. to" 5 p.m. will be\welcomed by many. The gardens are so wonderfully attractive with beautiful flowers and ferns, tiny waterfalls flowing into illuminated pools, and there are other attractions to bird and fish ■ lovers, who ' can there soe specimens brought'from other parts of the world which are immensely interesting and unusual. As well as things to see there will be agreeable things to do, for the tennis courts are ready for play, and the swimming pool should be a great attraction if the present warm weather holds. ■; ~V .
